Evelyn Flood

Fairytales really do come true.

Evelyn Flood has ink in her veins. Her first thought of actually writing books instead of reading them was when she attended an author workshop at the age of thirteen.

The thought caught, and held, and then fell away, as so many childhood dreams do. She attempted English Language at university on a scholarship, first convinced she wanted to be a lexicographer thanks to a free
copy of Lazy Ways to Make a Living in Cosmo magazine before dropping out and attempting a publishing degree... and then teaching, before finally
deciding university wasn’t for her.

A stint as a Waterstones bookseller (the dream) was followed by a shift into public relations, with a focus on reputational management and internal communications. Evelyn still remains a Chartered PR practitioner under her legal name – the youngest ever to achieve the accolade at the time.

Her debut book, Omega Found, was the second-ever New Years resolution which actually came true (the first being to stop having sugar in her tea). Written by February 2022 and published in March, OF reached the Top 100 Amazon US chart and opened up a new world. Evelyn left the world of PR in 2023 to write full-time and is now the author of more than twenty romance books – all of them angsty and emotional with a hard-won HEA.

Her books have appeared on bestseller lists, a Times Square billboard and in many, many tear-riddled accusatory videos and messages from emotional readers.

At some point, she swapped her tea for a mildly concerning coffee addiction and can usually be spotted working in her local coffee shops or raiding her local bookstores.

Whilst still a little sceptical of NYE resolutions, she now makes a secret bookish one every year. So far, all of them have come true.
